This is the best way to share photos in Altspace. It’s lightweight, easy to change, and does not count toward the photo limit for Main Events. You can use photos you’ve taken with the Altspace camera or photos you’ve uploaded to altvr.com

What You’ll Need

  • World where you have the World Editor
  • Photos

Navigate to World Editor > Altspace > Kits > Event Tools.

Click on 16:9 Frame.

Click the frame and scale it up.

Toggle off Edit Mode and click Edit.

Click Change Image.

Browse your Photos and click on the one you want to use.

Use the arrows buttons in the top left to make adjustments but if you’re using a photo taken with the Altspace camera, that’s already going to be in 16:9 aspect ratio (1920x1080 pixels) so you shouldn’t need to do anything. Click Done.

That’s it!

Success!

You can place multiple picture frames or click Change Image to swap. There’s also a Banner Frame option that is wider. If you want to upload non-Altspace photos, you can do it via altvr.com and they will show up in your Photo list:

FAQ

  • What adjustments do the arrows make? It lets you crop images that don’t match the aspect ratio — basically lets you get it just right.
